Chilli Lamb Burgers

I cooked burgers for the kids tonight and took photos but they are not great.  Good news is the kids loved the burgers, so did Murray and I.  Here is the recipe.

The Braes Chili Lamb Burgers Chilli lamb Burgers with caramelised onion.

  • 500gm Braes Lamb mince
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg beaten lightly
  • I clove garlic crushed
  • I brown onion finely diced
  • 1 tsp coriander paste
  • 1 whole red chilli finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 tsp sugar
 
Step 1:  Combine mince, bread crumbs, egg, garlic, brown onion, garlic and coriander paste and chilli.  Shape into patties.
Step 2:  Cook patties in fry pan until brown and cooked through.
Step 3:  Heat oil in pan and cook red onion, add sugar and cook until soft.
Step 4:  Stack lettuce, cheese, lamb pattie, caramelized onion, cucumber, tomato, bacon and capsicum.
Step 5:  Top with home made tomato relish and serve with golden fries.
